Our wedding at Occasions earlier this month was everything we could have asked for. Dayna, our wedding producer, was excellent. She thought of absolutely everything, made sure we stayed organized (including keeping detailed notes and decor lists), and adjusted things along the timeline and setting based on exactly what we wanted. We only needed a couple of calls with her and some texts back and forth throughout the planning process for everything to come together. Dayna also gave us many recommendations when we asked for other vendors and locations (after party, hotels, luxury restrooms). On the day of, Dayna was organized, communicative (but never interrupted the natural cadence of the day), and kind. She is an absolute pro, and we were in the best hands with her. Andrew, the catering manager at The Cliff, ensured we had an incredible meal that tasted as delicious as the tasting - a hard feat when feeding over 140 people. He was so generous with his time and flexibility, even as we changed our menu and plan multiple times. Family and friends raved about their meals and were impressed with every bite. The rentals, florals, entertainment, and bakery all included was perfect; it made for less work on the front end, and everything was stunning, engaging, and delicious. We have only gotten the highest compliments on our guests on the level of service, the vibe (obviously the setting!), and the timeline of the whole day. We highly recommend the Occasions for any engaged couple looking for a venue with zero reservations. Dayna and her staff are amazing. Not many spots in the region that can host a wedding where you are perched right on top of the ocean. Booking our wedding with Occasions at Laguna Village was the easiest and best decision we could’ve made! Planning a destination wedding was so seamless because of the all inclusive nature of the venue but also because of their amazing wedding producer Dayna! We had several helpful planning calls with Dayna and she was always so kind and helpful. She gave amazing directions and advice during planning and truly listened to our ideas and vision. On the day of, she and her team executed everything perfectly. I wasn’t stressed or worried on the day of because of her! Working with the provided vendors was a great experience. It was such a stress relief to know they could be trusted and worked at this venue before. We selected Flower Jubilee as our florist and Jean did an amazing job! Her arrangements and execution of our vision was spot on. Rossmoor pastries provided our delicious and beautiful cake and they worked with Dayna for the delivery and setup. Epic 1 DJ kept the party going and everyone got on the dance floor throughout the night. He also did a great job at executing the timeline and kept things running smoothly. Lastly, the catering by the Cliff restaurant was phenomenal. Andrew was so great to work with and really accommodating. During our tasting it was hard to select the meal because everything was so delicious. Extremely kind and wonderful staff. Cori worked with us patiently from the moment we toured. She answered every question and text I sent promptly. She was very attentive to our needs and accommodating as best she could. Unfortunately due to external circumstances we didn’t proceed with this venue, but we really wish we could have! Occasions will have a special place in our heart and I encourage all future brides to tour it in person. Many are concerned about privacy, but the minute you step down to the venue itself, it really feels like a separate world. The venue is intimate and you can get by with minimal decor due to the breathtaking backdrop of the ocean. From our tour with Cori, we instantly knew we made the right choice going with Occasions for our dream wedding. Then there is Andrew & his incredible team with The Cliff, who’s care, service and attention to detail leave you feeling like royalty. We are huge foodies and Andrew made sure that our love of food was featured and translated from cocktail hour to the main course of the best damn taco bar you could ever imagine! He helped us design the perfect cocktails - and mocktails - to have our guests raving and all of us well hydrated. Included with your booking is the best DJ you could want - DJ Todd - he worked with us in curating a perfect evening of entertainment and worked seamlessly with our wedding band - The Brightsiders - to make our event feel like the epic party we always wanted. Finally, there is Dayna, the on-site coordinator who would do anything for her couples. We even had wedding crashers try and join our event (we don’t blame them it was one helluva party) and Dayna took care of it without skipping a beat or calling any attention to it. She was a pleasure to work with and made sure that the second you wake up on your wedding day - you do not have a thing to worry about at the venue. To everyone at Occasions that made our wedding day the best day of our life - we are so grateful and thankful for each and every one of you. From the very first walkthrough to the final dance, every single person involved in our wedding, from the owners Sharon and Kathy, to their wonderful son, our planner Dayna, our florist Jean, the incredible photographer Jared Sislin and his team, and restaurant and bar manager Andrew, made our day the absolute best day of my wife Hayleigh and I’s lives. Sharon and Kathy have cultivated something special here—not just a gorgeous venue, but a place filled with heart. Dayna was a total rockstar: organized, calming, detail-oriented, and always ten steps ahead. Jean’s floral arrangements were breathtaking—elegant, unique, and bursting with our personality. Jared and his team… where do I even begin? Their work made us relive every emotion through stunning photos. And Andrew ran the bar and dining experience like a maestro—every guest raved about the service and attention to detail. It didn’t feel like a team of vendors—it felt like a family rallying behind us to make something unforgettable. They didn’t just help us plan a wedding.
